Containerboard November Operating Rate Up from October
The American Forest & Paper[Paper?:paper sample maker cutting machine] Assn. reports that while November 2011 US containerboard production was flat when compared to May 2011, month over month average daily production was up 3.3%. Additionally, containerboard operating rate for November 2011 was up slightly by 0.1 point over November 2010 to 96.9%; however, most encouraging, it gained 3.1 point over last month's operating rate.
The report also noted other positive news: Linerboard production has a slight gain over last year, and medium also showed a slight increase over June 2010.
