A joint project by Innovia Films, BASF SE, DFTA and Flint Group has produced a compostable confectionery packaging[packaging?:DCP-H series packaging sample cutter plotter] ‘first’.
For the design by Kalfany Sü?e Werbung, BASF SE supplied a newly developed and fully compostable lamination adhesive Epotal ECO, certified by DIN CERTCO. Also compostable are the NatureFlex lamination films supplied by Innovia Films for the confectionery bags and wrappers.
The printing[printing?:printing cutting finishing solution] took place at the technology centre of DFTA flexo printing association in Stuttgart, using printing inks and plates from Flint Group. The proven flexo printing plate nyloflex ACE Digital was used in the process, suitable for flexible and aseptic packaging.
The printing ink FlexiPrint MV is heavy metal-free for composting, while achieving high colour strength and excellent gloss.
