Polycarbonate is a transparent thermoplastic that has extraordinary impact resistance and excellent electrical properties.
Polycarbonate products also have a low moisture absorption rate and good chemical resistance which makes it an extremely versatile engineering material and allows for its use in a multitude of industrial applications. Mechanical grade polycarbonate has a light transmittance of approximately 88%. Window grade polycarbonate is much clearer and used when you need optical qualities for a sight window.
Glass fiber filled polycarbonate is available when additional stiffness is required.
Polycarbonate products are available in a full range of heavy gauge polycarbonate rod, polycarbonate plate and polycarbonate tube sizes.
