Acrylic bonding is a very critical step to process acrylic sheet products. Whether acrylic sheet products can show the optical clarity and high quality depends greatly on its bonding technology.
There are mainly two factors which influence the bonding of acrylic sheet products. One is the applicability of the adhesive; the other is the bonding skills.
Currently, there are many adhesives in markets which can be divided into two types: two-component and single component. All-purpose adhesive and epoxy belong to two-component type; which CCl3 (chloroform) belongs to single component type. In general, the two-component adhesive is done by bonding curing reaction, and one-component bonding is achieved by the volatilizing of solvent.
